While making some new art for the base game and the Eggspansion Peck, we were going to write new flavor text and be done with it. But we realized that if your support is helping our dream come true, then YOU should have a part in creating JailBird as well!
So introducing...

Our team will judge and pick the best one (basically, whichever one makes us laugh the most). The winning caption will become the final flavor text on the card, and we'll send you a thank you reward, no extra charge for shipping.
Keep it clean and funny- this is a game meant for all ages after all.

The #Blessed Bird (a brand new tier!)
As much fun as it is to get a game, it's even more exciting to give a game! We wanted to create a package so that you can give the joy of JailBird to another person.
Good for any holiday, the #Blessed Bird comes with three copies of JailBird (plus one set of the Eggspansion Peck and Kickstarter Eggsclusives) as well as 3x JailBird postcards - all for $55 (the normal MSRP here is $72).
You'll note that there's only ONE upgraded game-- we want you to decide who's been naughty or nice. Or maybe you'll just keep that one for yourself ;)
If you want this tier but have already backed, you can change your pledge reward or add this as an add-on. You can find it on your reward pledge tier. (If you just want the postcards you can also add them as an add-on as well).

We're Funded!!
WOW, we couldn't have done it without you. We've been working on JailBird for exactly 1 year and our team is besides themselves. Seriously, one of our team member's birthdays is today and she started crying with joy. We are HYPED that JailBird going to be a real physical game that we can hold and hug and throw at other players while making bird noises.
What comes next?
Stay tuned! We got lots of stretch goals and contests coming up, as well as different press and people we're working with. We're like aggressively excited about these things and you'll hear from us shortly~ Until then, keep sharing with your friends and social media that (Jail)Bird is the word!

50% Funded!! And a quick Eggspansion Peck Preview ;)

We are officially over the 50% funded mark! This is our first campaign, our first game, and the feedback we've been receiving has been absolutely amazing. We can't wait to get JailBird into your hands so that you can play it and squawk along with all your friends.
The Eggspansion Peck:
Sometimes in a heist, things go wrong. We've designed a set of Event Cards that we think feature that feeling of dread, mystery, and suspense! Here's a feature on one of the Event Cards, "The Plot Chickens" featuring one of my favorite birds, the Birdinator:
The Eggspansion Peck is included in the Baller Bird and Boss Bird tiers, or you can get it as an add-on in your order.
As we get closer to our Funding goal I'll drop another update about incoming stretch goals. Please help spread the word about JailBird by creating posts on your favorite social network sites or and mentioning it to people you can physically see (whether in person or over Zoom). Let's Talk Stretch Goals

We're getting closer to our funding goal, so this is a good time to talk about our Stretch Goals. After getting funded, we have a couple other goals for this campaign to pack as many goodies and extras into JailBird as possible.
Here's our next goal once we're funded:

These cards have had us rolling on the floor quacking our heads off, so we're really excited for these. We'll drop the art for these cards (and a flavor text competition) in an update soon!
What are Backer Achievements?
These are fun things we want to see the JailBird community do-- some of these are related to social media shares and follows. Others are fun silly things like posting your favorite chicken recipes or bird puns on our social media or on the comments on the campaign page.
As we hit these, we'll post updates about your progress!

How do we help JailBird hit its stretch goals?
We're a small team and this is our first Kickstarter. We don't have a huge following or brand name recognition. THAT SAID, we have a whole lot of drive and a fun strategic game with great art. But we need your help in getting the word out about JailBird! Please, take some of these steps to help us launch JailBird to our first stretch goal:
- Make a Post on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. Tell people why you backed JailBird, whether it be the art, the gameplay, the bird puns-whatever else it was! Social media gets around, and you never know who has heard about JailBird. Keep in mind that posts in the morning and afternoon tend to get better coverage~
- Encourage people to check out the Kickstarter Campaign online. The Kickstarter App is a great way to show what JailBird is all about when talking face to face (or over zoom).
- Head to your favorite gaming forum or group and make a post on behalf of the JailBird campaign.
- Head to the BGG JailBird page and "Thumb" up all the posts and pictures there. Subscribe to the page if you'd like and help the project by participating in the conversation there. Mark yourself as a Fan of the game and add it to your "want" game list. This raises JailBird's "hotness level" on BGG, which will get more eyes on the campaign and encourage more people to check it out. Also, upload your own pictures of you playing the game with your friends. BoardGameGeek is free, and if you aren't on it, you really should be :)
